CP - Customer Center Marketing Specialist - Greensboro, NC

Role Purpose ?

The Customer Center Marketing Specialist supports the Crop Protection and Professional Products
Business Unit activities. This position is responsible for developing and ensuring long-term
business partnerships with targeted growers and retailers through customized relationships as determined by the Business Unit Marketing and Campaign strategies

Accountabilities ?
? Develop, support and grow relationships with targeted customer groups, and markets.
? Informs and educates customers about Syngenta products, solutions and programs.
? Develops and recommends effective target marketing strategies, projects and supporting tactics focusing on niche and unique market exploitation, targeted customer support and communication for the retailer, grower or end user.
? Primary focus will be communications and marketing support through primarily electronic means (voice and data) for target markets and brands and the enabling of an ongoing dialogue with customers and market segments requiring additional targeted support. This is as directed by the Campaign Teams and/or Business Unit strategy.
? Provide key program implementation support for national as well as BU led programs where the opportunity to up sell or cross sell Syngenta brands is present

Knowledge, experience & capabilities ?
Critical knowledge:
? B.S. degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline with 5+ years previous Marketing and/or Sales experience
? Understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics and customer needs.
? Knowledge of basic marketing principles - positioning, market analysis, communications.
? Broad knowledge of Syngenta products, labels, programs and solutions.
? Knowledge of business operations for Syngenta customer groups.

Critical experience:
? At least 5 years of commercial experience in the crop protection industry desired.
? Record of successful management of people, processes and/or territory.
? Has demonstrated successful, creative strategic thinking.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:
? Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
? Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
? Ability to effectively interact across functional groups to achieve desired results.
? Must be able to excel at nurturing and maintaining customer relationships.
? Excellent problem solving, conflict management and influencing skills.
? Initiative, results driven, focus on meeting or exceeding customer needs.
? Must be excellent at teamwork and supporting other Customer Center team members.
? Must develop proficiency in CRM (Pivotal, K2G, I3) and Microsoft Office software
? Must be able to act independently in complex situations

Additional information
? A minimum of 2 years in current position is required (requirement for internal applicants only)
? All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
? Travel Requirements - 25%
