Plant Biologist - Research Triangle Park, NC

Role purpose
?This position will mainly support agronomic trait research
?Responsible for event selection and characterization of transgenic traits and crops with emphasis on drought and yield traits
?Responsibilities also include working on multiple tasks and supporting project needs
?A good team player to deliver group functions and responsibilities

Accountabilities
?A bench scientist who can conduct experiments independently and professionally
?Support agronomic trait-related projects
?Ensure delivery of project goals on time
?Work with other group members to achieve the goals as a team
?Join troubleshooting activities for scientific challenges

Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Critical knowledge
?Master in plant physiology
?Strong knowledge in crop plant physiology and plant biology
?Broad knowledge in biochemistry and molecular biology
?An strong interest in and knowledge of agricultural biotechnology is necessary in addition to accomplishment sin all aspects of transgenic work

Critical experience
?Experience in plant physiology experiments
?Relevant laboratory experience working with transgenic plant and traits
?Worked in a team environment

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
?Able to conduct analysis of plant physiology studies, especially in corn and soybean
?Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis and reporting skills
?Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

?A minimum of 2 years in current position is required.
?All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
