Donegan Landscaping is now 10 years in the business of making gardens beautiful...

Described by the Fingal Independent as the creator of "eye-catching, head-turning gardens", Peter Donegan Landscaping Ltd was founded in 2001 by Peter Donegan.

Gardening has been with Peter from a young age. At just five years old, he received the tutelage of his grandfather on the art of planting radish seeds. Since then, his interest in gardening has flourished. At seven, he took on a grass cutting as a way of earning pocket money. By ten, he had completed the maintenance of his first full garden.

It was during secondary school, that Peter's passion for gardening really developed. He took a summer job and also worked after classes with a teacher and gardener from his college and developed a real love for the art.

After secondary school, Peter spent four years studying horticulture in Meath and Kilkenny, sitting the Royal Horticultural Society examinations externally, while simultaneously working at garden centres and with landscape companies to help fund his studies.

Peter went from success to success. By 24, he had been a teacher of horticulture in South Dublin, landscaped in London and was head of grounds for Dublin City University. In addition, landscaped in London, managed in Dublin, designed in Scotland and spoken, and consulted on every aspect of garden design and landscaping.

In 2001, Peter decided to start his own company, Peter Donegan Landscaping Ltd and has been at the forefront of Irish landscaping ever since. With nine awards already under his belt, including the Overall Winner's prize for Design at the 2007 ALCI Landscape Awards, the future looks bright for Peter and Irish gardening.
