Powell Gardens is a not-for-profit, 915-acre botanical garden whose purpose is to inspire people to appreciate, beautify and conserve our natural environment by providing a peaceful setting with opportunities for learning and reflection. We are currently developing the Heartland Harvest Garden which will be one of the premier edible landscapes in the world and promote understanding of where visitor's food comes from. Powell Gardens is located 30 miles east of Kansas City on Highway 50 and is one of the 40 largest botanical gardens in the United States.
