Windy Hill Farm is located at 686 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington, Massachusetts in southern Berkshire County. We are a diverse horticultural operation consisting of a 7-acre apple orchard, 4-acre field grown specialty ornamental nursery stock, a retail garden center and full-service landscaping department. Our principal market area consists of clients who are full-time residents as well as second homeowners from New York City and the Boston area. We cover the tri-state area – southern Berkshire County in Massachusetts, Litchfield County in northwest Connecticut, Columbia and Dutchess Counties in eastern New York. Windy Hill Farm was established in 1980 as a part-time venture on an abandoned dairy farm by Dennis and Judy Mareb and was ready to open to the general public in 1986. In the interim period, income was provided by Dennis working as a professional horticulturist on a local estate and Judy as an elementary school teacher. Dennis attended both the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Design. Windy Hill Farm was incorporated in 1996 and continues to be owned and operated by Dennis and Judy Mareb.
