Horticultural interns with a passion for working in a public garden setting. They will receive practical, hands on experience in all phases of maintenance, landscape design and enhancement of a diverse collection of horticultural plant collections within the 409-acre arboretum. Interns will participate to near-weekly educational field trips to private and public gardens, nurseries and growers on Long Island and the surrounding areas.
Salary is $16.75 per hour and on site housing is included. Up to 40 hours per week is available. The duration of the internship is flexible but a minimum of 10 weeks for the fall and winter season.
