Job brief:
Indigenous Ingenuities, LLC, is a unique, environmentally responsible landscaping company working in and around Bucks County, PA. We are looking for a Landscaping Maintenance Manager with a broad knowledge of plant care and natural, rural, suburban, and urban landscaping maintenance. This is a full-time, year-round position with hours varying according to the season.
Essential Functions:
-Determine crew and equipment needed for maintenance jobs and schedule accordingly; monitor workloads
-Direct activities on job sites including, but not limited to:
--coordinate workflow
--ensure that crew members follow company policies and safety procedures
--hands-on work, such as raking, digging, mulching, and weeding of landscapes
--loading and unloading equipment and planting materials from trucks
--plan, coordinate, and collect equipment, supplies, and materials each day, ensuring that all equipment is accounted for and returns to shop at the end of the job
-Safely operate and maintain the following equipment:
--edgers, string trimmers, and chain saws
--backpack blowers and sprayers
--hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools
-Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance
-Track and record all job expenses, including materials and hours worked
-Attend and participate in general and safety meetings
-Prepare daily paperwork as required
-Schedule, estimate, and invoice projects
-Safely drive company-owned trucks (with or without trailers) and transport crew members
-Maintain and build customer relations
-Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:
-Visit project locations to manage crews
-Keep abreast of developments in the field, including new equipment that will enhance efficiency or provide environmental benefits
-Communicate well with all crew members, management, and clientele
-Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately
-May be asked to help in other divisions, such as installation, as needed

Requirements:
1+ years experience with landscape maintenance
3 years of experience managing work crews of at least 3 men and women, lead by example, and train crew members on best practices
Demonstrated knowledge of horticulture, particularly identification and habits of plants, shrubs, and trees native to the region and invasive plants, ability to recommend plantings (some design experience preferred), as well as a passion for learning about new developments in the field (college degree desirable)
Drivers license and reputable driving record
Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated
Good time management skills; availability for weekend work and long hours in spring and fall (elective time off limited in spring and fall)
Ability to use Mac computers, iPad, iPhone for scheduling and communication
Punctual and dependable
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
Ability to work in all weather conditions and around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
